As well as the short stay tours and day trips offered by Experience Mex-ECO Tours, we also receive longer stay volunteers from abroad, mainly from the U.K., U.S.A. and Canada. This programme works in conjunction with the U.K. based company Experience MexECO Ltd , and provides support for several community projects including:

• Sea Turtle Conservation

• Teaching English

• Child Care – working with special needs students

Our volunteers usually commit to a period of one to three months, during which they work within the community on their chosen project. During this time they are appointed a placement, in which they are supervised by an Experience Mex-ECO Tours staff member and provided with all necessary training.

Costs paid by volunteers are used to cover their food and accommodation whilst on our placements, as well as running costs, and a 6% donation towards the Experience MexECO Trust Fund – used to support community and conservation project development.
