As part of Experience Mex-ECO Tours’ work within the community, we are involved in the organisation of annual fundraising events for local children with ‘Ayuda a los Niños’. Distribution of the funds is coordinated through contact with local doctors and teachers and is split between both educational and medical needs of local underprivileged children.
Raising money for ‘Ayuda a los Niños’ relies on the support of local businesses, residents and visiting tourists donating their time and money towards this good cause.
So far ‘Ayuda a los Niños’ has helped:
- Raise sponsorships and money for classroom materials and physiotherapy equipment for C.A.M Cihuatlán.
- Sponsor a student through CECYTEJ (Colegio de estudios científicos y tecnológicos del estado de Jalisco).

Pay for an emergency brain surgery on a young girl.
- Cover transport, food and medical costs for a young child to visit a specialist and receive continuous medication.
- Build a new classroom at Pinal Villa Community School.
- Purchase walking frames which have aided various children to learn to walk with the support of a physiotherapist from C.A.M. Cihuatlán.
- Contribute towards medical and transport costs of several other local children with serious and ongoing illnesses.

Information on the dates for the fundraising events of the 2007/08 season will be announced here from November onwards. Events are usually held in December and January.
We would like to thank all those who participate in these events and hope to see you again this season. We would also like to welcome as many new faces as possible in order to increase our combined support for this worthy cause.
